Italian Murano glass candlesticks by artist Daniela Poletti

Playful and unique, these handcrafted candlesticks each have their own coloured pattern and signed by artist Daniela Poletti on the base. Made in Italy.

This historical glassmaking craft dates back to 1291 on the island of Murano. It soon became the destination for Europe’s luxury glassware. It was suggested that this practice took place solely on the island in order to control the risk of fire - it was not uncommon for glass factories to catch fire.
